Pretty & Polished - It Gets Better

Today I have a beautiful polish for you from Chels Marie over at Pretty & Polished. It's called It Gets Better and it was made especially for the "It Gets Better Project".  Here is a little bit of background on the cause from Pretty & Polished's Esty listing:

The It Gets Better Project was created to show young LGBT people the levels of happiness, potential, and positivity their lives will reach – if they can just get through their teen years. The It Gets Better Project wants to remind teenagers in the LGBT community that they are not alone — and it WILL get better.
I created this polish for all of the people I have lost to bullying. I understand not everyone agrees with my views on human rights and that is ok. I made this polish so that I could donate 50% of the profits to an organization that I appreciate.
The It Gets Better pledge:
"Everyone deserves to be respected for who they are. I pledge to spread this message to my friends, family and neighbors. I'll speak up against hate and intolerance whenever I see it, at school and at work. I'll provide hope for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and other bullied teens by letting them know that it gets better."

I personally think this is an awesome cause and It's so great that she donates 50% of the profits to the organization! :)

Now on to the polish. Boy, it's a beauty! It's a lovely shade of mint green packed full of multicolored hex glitter.

These pics were 3 coats of It Gets Better with a top coat of Seche. I probably could have gotten away with 2 coats but I love the sandwich look of jelly polishes so I went with 3. If you would like to purchase this polish and support this great cause you can go to the Pretty & Polished shop or she still has some polishes in her Etsy Shop.  Also go like her Facebook page!

Jindie Nails - Santa Claws Collection - Part 2 (pic heavy)

Today I have the second half of the Santa Claws collection from Jindie Nails to show you!! This one is called Mrs. Claws and it is the second linear holo polish in the collection. A beautiful dark pink holo! Once again...keep in mind that I didn't have a lot of sun on swatch day so it's hard to capture how sparkly the polish truly is. Outside in full sun its absolutely dazzling! :)

Once again....the application was flawless. One coat was pretty much opaque. These pics are with 2 coats.  Next up is Noel. This is a clear base polish with tons of micro neon green, red and white matte glitter, with a touch of green sparkle in it. I just applied this by itself with no base coat. 2 coats was enough for full coverage. This polish is pretty thick.

I did not have a top coat on this as you can see. You would need a thick top coat such as Seche or something though because the finish is a little rough. Very pretty though!   Next we have the namesake of the collection...Santa Claws. This polish is matte white, black, red and green square glitters in clear base. I layered it over China Glaze Icicle. This is 2 coats of Icicle and 2 coats of Santa Claws. I love how this one came out!!!

Love this combo! I may wear this to my husband's work Christmas party tomorrow! And the last polish in the collection is called Silent Night. This one is a beautiful royal blue jelly polish with cute little stars and moons and tons of shapes and sizes of holo and iridescent glitters.

Reeeeeeeeeeally pretty! I did have to fish around for the moon and star pieces but it's worth it!! This was 2 coats by itself. If you would like to purchase any of the beautiful polishes you can check out Jen's Etsy shop HERE. Also go check out her facebook page HERE and follow her on instagram @jindienails.

Jindie Nails Santa Claws Collection - Part 1 (pic heavy)

I was feeling a little festive over the weekend and decided to swatch some Christmas polishes. I was lucky enough to recently acquire the entire Santa Claws collection from Jindie Nails. There are 9 polishes total in the set. I will show you 5 of them in this post! :)

First up we have Blue Blue X-mas. This one is a gorgeous royal blue linear holo. Keep in mind I didn't have the best sunlight for these pics. In the sunlight it shimmers like crazy!

This was VERY easy to apply.....it was actually really covering with only one coat. I used two for the photos though.  Next we have Candy Cane. I have actually blogged this one before when I got a mini from Jen to swatch but the new bottle I got seemed to have a lot more of the large red hex. Which I love!  This is a white cream/jelly base with various sizes of red and green hex and with tiny red and green glitter. This is for sure one of my favorites of the collection.

So festive!! This polish was a little bit sheer when applying but 3 coats was fine for opaque coverage with no white base coat underneath. The only fishing I had to do was for the large red hex but a lot of glitter came out each time. Highly recommend this one!   The third one I have is called Holly. This one is a clear base with matte white, green and red hexes with tiny green sparkle glitter thrown in. I like the concept of the random large red hexes as the "berries". For these pics I layered 2 coats of Holly over 2 coats of Color Club Berry and Bright.

Once again, the amount of glitter on every swipe was more than adequate. I could have just used one coat of Holly, but I was trying to get the red berries out. Maybe next time I will do this one over white or grey to be able to see the red hexes better.  Next is Just Elfing Around. LOVE the way this one turned out. This one is so fun! There are both matte and holo glitters in this polish. I like the different shade of green hexes in this one. I layered it over Sinful Colors Mint Apple.

This polish was a little bit thicker than some of the others but once again....tons of glitter on the brush each time. With all of the colors in this one, I think it would look great over lots of different colors! Another of my faves!!!  And last.....we have Kiss Me Under the Mistletoe. This one is a really pretty shade of red. And I really don't even like red. LOL. This one is a jelly polish with red and green holo glitter throughout plus silver and gold hexes.

This one was also very easy to apply and these pictures were 3 coats. If you would like to go buy any of these polishes you can do so at Jen's etsy shop HERE. Also go check out her facebook page HERE and follow her on Instagram @jindienails.

Jindie Nails - Candy Land

OMG!!!!! I haven't been this excited about a polish in a looooong time! This is yet another FANTASTIC polish from Jen at Jindie Nails. This one is called Candy Land. It combines everything that I love about polishes......white base and NEON!!! Check it out!

Seriously.....what could be better than this? Reminds me of candy(of course) lol. The description of this polish is "a cream/jelly white base with medium and large neon hex shaped glitter". It seemed a little on the thin side when I went to apply it and I wasn't sure if I needed to put a coat of white polish on first or not. But I decided to give it a try without. This is 3 coats of Candy Land, no base polish.

The fun thing is that the glitter is sort of see through so when 2 hexes overlap...you never know what color will turn up! Yay!  I think this might be my favorite polish out of all the ones I own. Seriously. LOVE. And if you would like to have this polish you can go to Jen's Etsy store HERE! And go check out her facebook HERE and also follow her on Instagram @jindienails!
